Research Focus : Starship Construction (Military)
Defence Powers: Atlantis is the strongest world of the Terran Race, and also the Capitol World of the Takimora Empire after the Three Days Revolution. Atlantis is known as one of the most heavily defended systems in the Empire, deploying both a power planetary defense network, and is also home to the Janus Fleet Yards & Station.
Demographics: While the Atlantian homeworld is the home planet of the Atlantieans, Terrans comprime the majority of the population, due to a disease that was wiping out the native race during initial colonization.. However, similar fields of technology and intellectual exchange between the two races brought them together, and now the Atlantieans are proud Imperials.

Background: The Searian race is a more laid back sort of group, calm and collected. Rather than being aggressive, Serians tend to focus their energy into trading & construction. Searians seem to be rather gifted at space trading, and most of the population purses these means, comprimising the majority of the Empire's "merchant navy."
Primary Trait: Large, oversized ears and spindle-like long fingers
Secondary Trait: Strong capitalist and democratic beliefs, above average charisma, due to a long history of trading with alien races.
Research Focus : Merchant & Civilian Ship Construction, Mining and Agricultural Technologies
Defence Powers: Decided Non-involvement. Searians are a peaceful race as a whole, and it is understood within the Empire that the Alpha Ceti care little for war, but do keep a mindful eye on the political scene to keep it from affecting their profits.
Demographics: Alpha Ceti is a hubbub of activity in Imperial space--it is not uncommon to see races of almost every sort frequenting their metropolises.

Background: The Shales'tan Race is a native race of the Nexus Galaxy, though it's small Confederacy intially was a defensive society, preferring to live a life of research and self enlightenment than one of conquest and war, though, their technological research and weapons devolpment by far the best in the Empire. After they're own small revolution before the war, the population agreed to join the Empire by their own will and applied for Imperial membership.
Primary Trait: Good, strong physical build, Shal'estan's are know for their prowess in hand to hand combat.
Secondary Trait: Strong willpower and self control, Logical mind, spatial engineering and visualization
Research Focus : Stargate Technology, uses of Naquida and Zero Point Energy.
Defence Powers: Shalestan's are known for their defensive technologies, as well as offensive weapons technolgies they've brought to the Empire. Their home system, Sha'len, is protected by a powerful planetary defense network.
Demographics: Due to their closed nature, there is little cross-habitation with other races. In rare cases, one might see a Terran or two. Shal'estans are very private beings.

Background: Pleasant working demeanor and determined attitudes make the Licyo prime candidates for spacetravel. These individuals are from a planet at the forefront of the medical breakthroughs in all of space-faring technology, which leads to a race of robust, healthy people. Very rarely ill, and generally having more fortitude than most, the Licyo are a very resilliant race, and one of the oldest. The average lifespan of a Licyo is well over 300 years, which makes them one of the longest-lived species in Atlantis space.
Primary Trait: Fortitude, resistance to illness, long lifespan, extraordinary understanding of Medical treatments on many alien races in the Nexus Galaxy.
Secondary Trait: Determination, Joviality while working
Research Focus : Medicine
Defence Powers: They defend their one greenery-producing planet fiercely from both planetary and interplanetary assault. Of course, their main defensive asset is the importance of their medical research.
Demographics: As not many who were not born on the planet would likely want to live there, the population is primarily Licyo. However, they also have many visiting researchers and students of medicine, so there are a scattering of other races there.

Background: To be a Gomen Kai is to never to see the sunlight, for as long as one is on the planet. In long-ago times, primitive people formed conglomerations underground, to take safe haven out of the way of monumental lava flows and choking ash that was slowly dominating the surface. The Gomen Kai race developed infrared sight through necessity, as there was no other way for them to see in the deep dark of their volatile planet. The Bri were sufficiently good with technology, using thermal harnesses and fusion to power cities and develop computer technology. The Gomen Kai were all too happy to join ranks with the Takimora Empire and contribute to something beyond the surface.
Primary Trait: Infared Vision
Secondary Trait: Good with environmental technology and computers
Research Focus : Thermal and other environmental technologies
Defence Powers: The fact that their entire civilization exists underground protects them from most aspects of interplanetary combat. The fact that their entire surface is free of life makes it most convenient to place large batteries of weapons on it. All in all, one of the most easily-defended planets in the Empire.
Demographics: As their planet is an entirely hostile environment, the Gomen Kai are, for the most part, alone on their planet, save the occasional trader or Imperial military vessel.

Background: Dakaris was originally settled by the Orion race the Sarith, using it for an oupost eariler in their races history. However, during the rise of the Orion Republic, the Sarith were enslaved, and the few thousand people left on this world were left alone, until a group of Terran Colonist arrived by accident and the two populations slowly intermixed. They joined the Takimora Empire after it was annexed by Imperial Law just shortly before the Orion War.
Primary Trait: Sharp Trading Abilities, Charm, and Charisma
Secondary Trait: Quick Tempers, ability to multitask, but inability to stay focused on a single task.
Research Focus : Defensive Technologies, Trading, leading Temporal Reasearch
Defence Powers: Being close to the Orion Neutral Zone, they naturally have a defensive network of space stations and battleplates constantly in orbit around the planet, as well as a major TMC Garrison and large Fleet Facilities.
Demographics: Because of it's close proximity to the Orion Neutral Zone, and it's location along major trade routes between Atlantis and the Outer Worlds, Dakaris has a thriving ecoonomy, and after the end of the Orion War, a melting pot of races can now been seen planetside, as well as a large tourism trade on it's newly terraformed Southern Continent.

Background: Almost humanoid in features, the Atlantian's are the native race on the homeworld Atlantis. Atlantian's have a relationship with nature, prefering to work with it, rather than against it. Early in their history, they was attacked by an unknown race that used a terrible bio-genetic weapon on them in a last desperate attempt to conquer the world. This illiness after a few hundred years had reduced their populations to dwindling numbers, before the Imperial's discovered the world early in thier colonization efforts. Soon a strong bond was made between the Imperial and Atlantian Races, especially after the Terrans indroduced a cure to eradicate the effect of the weapon used on them centuries earlier.
Primary Trait: Survival skills, very calm and collected, beauty
Secondary Trait: Plant/animal empathy, able to adapt organic technologies to pretty much any situation
Research Focus : Agricultral and Medical Technologies, Civilan Improvements, Starship Production (Military)
Defence Powers: Atlantis is the strongest world of the Terran Race, and also the Capitol World of the Takimora Empire after the Three Days Revolution. Demographics: Because they share their homeworld, the major cities on the Lyborn side of the planet are mainly Atlantean, though most immigrants are generally looked down upon by 'native' Atlantians. The Atlantian's keep their areas of the planet secluded, since they know that most other races do not share their love of nature and prefer to not have their organic wonders ruined.

Background: Large creatures, this is a race of an abbreviated life. The Tirlican is actually a hybrid of two now-extinct species, the Tirth and the Larican (native to Goriceth and Undimet--respectively), which came about after years of intermarriages and procreation of civilians of Goriceth and Undimet. The average Tirlican lives no more than fourty years by the standard calendar. As
such, they are fully adult by the time they are ten or twelve years of age. The typical Tirlican is just shy of 7', and are very muscular creatures. Intelligence and wisdom tend not to be great strengths of these people, as they rely on their brute strength and massive sizes to get what they need accomplished.
Primary Trait: Massive strength and size, extraordinary prowess in Hand to Hand Combat,, short lifespan
Secondary Trait: Quick to mature, slow to think much at all, short tempered.
Research Focus : Physical development, Environmental containment research on Goriceth
Defence Powers: Goriceth and Undimet, both being in the system Nova Ilianda, have a joint defensive network consisting of land-based and close planetary defenses and a few automated defenses strung between the planets
Demographics: Undimet has more variety in its races than Goriceth, due to the lush greenery and paradise-like environment. Goriceth was once this way, but was laid waste in a planetwide nuclear war. Currently, the majority of the population of Goriceth is concerned with building domes
in which the lush vegitation of its past can be brought back.

Background: Centrios are a gentle people, devoting their lives to family and relaxation, although they are known for their advances in Holo/Transporter technology, Medical Technology, deep space exploration, and starship design. Centrios do not have a system of currency other than the Standard Credit system for interstellar trade.
Primary Trait: Men usually have a larger build, averaging between 5'10 to 6'4 while the woman are usually smaller, averaging 5'2 to 5'7. Their silver eyes usually catch other's attention and are known for strength and highly sensitive senses (both averaging 3x that of the average human.)
Secondary Trait: Strong sense of space/time, usually making them the best helmsman; calm and logical thinkers with rare bursts of emotion. Very dependent on technology.
Research Focus : Holographic, Transporter, and Medical Technology.
Defence Powers: Their navy, Centrios Starfleet, is their primary line of defense. Their ships, no matter how small or what their mission is, are armed to the teeth only for the purpose of defense. Their Intelligence Network has it's own fleet of ships, gathering information from all over to make sure that the systems containing Centrios A, their capital, and Centrios, their planet of origin, were always safe.
Demographics: While the Centrios world is classified with a Class M atmosphere (~20% oxygen, ~80% nitrogen, ~1% trace gasses), the gravity and air temperature are out of a normal humanoids comfort range. Over decades of research, they have perfected methods to keep Non-Centrios visitors safe and comfortable, although less than 20% of Centrios A's population is Non-Centrios.

Background: Pyr Tribe members are completely albino. Any other coloration excludes them from the race, as they are considered pure. There is -no such thing- as a mixed breed Pyr. Members of the Pyr tribe have long been considered the servants of the Aluc'reith temples. Pyr Tribe members are very religious, believing completely in all of the mythos that surrounds the duality of the Aluc'reith nature. They believe in cyclical judgement, and are very slow to leave the temples, for any reason. If one leaves the temple, they are not allowed to return, as it is thought that being exposed to the outside world taints the individual. The only exception to this are those Pyr members that are marked as Guardians. Guardians, biologically, have a mutant variation in their body that manifests itself in an ebon marking over their entire back, looking much like a pair of wings. This fur looks dyed, simply because of how striking it is in comparison with the rest of the Pyr's body. There are said to only be four of these members at any given time, and there are textual histories to back this up. These members of the Tribe, while they are able to leave the temple, provided they are with their charge, are not allowed back into the fold. It is thought that after seeing life outside of the temple, these Guardians are also tainted. It is considered a life of sacrifice to be a Guardian, and as these members of the Pyr tribe are noted at birth, most are trained for the moment they leave and begin their 'true' purpose in life.

Defence Powers: Trialyn, despite its earthlike composition, seems to have an uncanny amount of weather phenomenon. This weather, be it simple clouds, or raging storms that stretch across entire continents, seems to almost be orchestrated by the necessity of protection.

As such, the Jem'Hadar have been exploited through slave labor and physical trials. Through the years, the race has thinned and dwindled, as there are few pureblood lines left, though in the years leading up to the war with Empire, the Orion developed a way to clone the Jem'Hadar on a massive scale, and now the comprise the bulk of the Orion Ground Forces.
Primary Trait: Huge size (may not be smaller than 6'9", nor taller than 7'6" as an adult)
Secondary Trait: Bezerker rage
Research Focus : Small Arms, Defensive Technology.
Defence Powers: Orbital, unmanned satellites provide an ossilating EMP blast to anything that is not cleared for entering Harlearsh's atmosphere.
Demographics: Harlearsh, the Jem'Hadar homeworld, is mostly a massive miltitary complex, with the bulk of the population in training for service in Republican Forces. As such, this world is ruled harshly, and the small civilian population is treated severely.

Background: The Xazon live in tight, cramped tarp-filled cities that serve as dens for black market operations. If you need anything, anything at all, ask an Eraleigh. The Xazon until recently were ruled loosely by individual factionalized warlords, but after the end of the Orion War and their explotation as mercenaries by the Orion, they decided to form a loose Confederation between the Factions. Also, the Xazon Confederacy is at a state of peace with the Empire.
Primary Trait: Keen ears and eyes, gueirilla warfare, ambush tactics
Secondary Trait: Many Xazon are still loyal to local leaders, despite the new centralized goverment.
Research Focus : Defensive Technologies, Merchant Trading, Shipbuilding
Defence Powers: The Xazon make sure that their main base, Proctor, is well taken care of.
Demographics: Despite the Xazon being the native race, one can find nearly any Laurnian race within the tightly packed markets of Proctor.

Background: By far the most prosperous race among the races that make up the Orion Republic, the Orion live in the metropolis world of their home, Laume Prime.. As technology abounds, the Orion are well-versed in physics, medicine, flight, engineering, weapons accuracy, and as such, are the ruling race of the Republic, holding the greatest portion of governement jobs and high echelon military and social circles. Growing up with such technology around them often makes these individuals a bit edgy and prideful about comparisons of technology. As a people, they
are brutal, ruthless, and exacting in most cases dealing with anyone branded as an 'outsider'. Laurne Prime is the home of the main Academy for Republic spacefaring people, though there are several smaller academies throughout Orion space.
Primary Trait: Wiry build, extremely intelligent, ruling race of the Orion Republic
Secondary Trait: Aptitude for technology
Research Focus : Wartime engineering--advancements in equipment and spacefaring ships, as well as mental conditioning.
Defence Powers: The Orion have developed a deflection webbing that they construct as a visible, net surrounding their planet through atmo-orbiting satellites.
Demographics: Given that the Orion consider themselves "above" the other races that comprimise the Republic, their homeworld is mostly closed to outsiders, with exception of the puppet "Grand Council" which resides here. Also, the majority of the Orion industrial corperations are based here.

Background: Organic living is the only way to survive on Sarith. The Tali have learned to live with nature, harnessing thermal power and channeling crystals to take the place of silicon chips. As such, their technology is highly sought after--and rarely attained.
Primary Trait: Able to sustain self in extreme temperatures, provided air is breathable.
Secondary Trait: Residual energy read--As the Tali are very attuned to the energy flow of their environment, they have a basic ability to touch an object (such as a crystal--not a person, or something that can think on its own) and get a feel for whoever possessed it last, provided it was within that person's possession for at least a year.
Research Focus : Energy focus and potential, organic manipulation and terraforming
Defence Powers: The Tali have learned to use crystal prisms to focus powerful laser beams toward any hostile ships.
Demographics: Due to the harsh environment, not many outsiders brave Sarith.

Background: Frozen deep under the surface of Vens are the Xeriton. Quiet, reserved creatures of diminuative stature and build, these beings wrought of cold and ice are anything but slow. Their surefootedness and casual grace make them excellent fighters. This world of cold that they are so accustomed to has brought forth a style and grace that the surface world and beyond has not seen. To watch them is to watch a swollen, frozen cascade of thought and physicality at one time. As such, when the Stewardship came to power, it made to overtake
Xeriton, placing members of its founding into slavery for resisting, or straight into military training for the more cooperative of the bunch.
Primary Trait: Small size (May not exceed 5'6")
Secondary Trait: Dexterity and graceful moving (catlike reflexes)
Research Focus : Power fusion and generation
Defence Powers: Vens is nearly always an icestorm in atmosphere and on the surface, thus making any communication and interaction nearly impossible.
Demographics: Due to the extremely harsh climate, few other races tend to call Vens home. Though, a few hearty Ruskon do indeed try.

Background: Deciding to try and make a more perfect being, the Yttr'i attempted to augment artifice to make them more powerful. It is rare to find an unaugmented Yttr'i, as artifice is a mark of pride among them. As such, the Yttr'i find it hard to adapt outside of Kai, as artifice is frowned upon.
Primary Trait: Altered appearance (Yttr'i have some obvious alteration about them, be it an artificial limb, augmented eyes, an exo-skeleton, etc.)
Secondary Trait: Strong constitution
Research Focus : Biomechanic engineering
Defence Powers: Cloaked vessels patrol Kai's skies, ready to fire upon anything hostile they encounter.
Demographics: Kai is primarily made up of Yttr'i, though there is a strong showing of Ruskon and quite a few Gyoir present as well.

Background: The Alhari have built up several floating platforms the size of large citys for their metropolis centers, calling them 'Gardens'. These Gardens are the closest thing to dry land that any Alahari have on their native planet. Good natured, yet fiercely protective of their utopia-like environment, the Alhari are sometimes found on spacefaring vessels--just to see land, or to protect their planet.
Primary Trait: Excellent swimming ability, superior eyesight and hearing.
Secondary Trait: Charismatic
Research Focus : Cultivation in low-area or artificial environments
Defence Powers: A network of floating cannon platforms that can be sent anywhere on the planet at any time, space stations and orbiting defenses.
Demographics: Mostly, the only race that can live on Maribane for any length of time without going mad would be the Alhari. Consequently, the Alhari are a bit off-balance on any other world they visit, unless they live there for awhile.

Background: Members of the Keli race encountered on Starships are entirely outcasted from their own race. The Keli believe that there is nothing good to come from technology at all, particularly spacefaring technology. A peaceful people, these are the one group that willingly went under the Stewardship regime, in order to spare the people from as much bloodshed as possible. Members of Keli have begun to show up recently in the Laurne militia, being willing to sacrifice themselves in order to preserve their planet. To find one in the Republican ranks would be rare, but not completely impossible.
Primary Trait: Keli have a distinctive horn in the center of their forehead that extends about a foot, spiralling upward.
Secondary Trait: Pacifistic nature
Research Focus : There are several laboratories within the defense silos dedicated to advanced torture and pain extractment.
Defence Powers: Nadirum has several ground to air vaporization silos commanded by Ruskon civilians. Ruskons must be transported into the silos from orbiting ships, as the ships are not allowed to touch planetside, nor are the Ruskons allowed outside said defense silos.
Demographics: Nadirum is a very backward planet in terms of technology, thus there is rarely a crossover of races. The exceptions to this are the Ruskons charged with operating the defense silos.

Background: The only sub-race in the Starship Avalon continuity to have -naturally occuring- psionic talent, Aluc'rieths are mutations of the Ruskon, which make up most of the Laurnian Space. There is no such thing as a half-bred Aluc'rieth, as it is simply a classification within a race. Aluc'rieths have been seen throughout Laurne's history as a subrace to be feared, due to their psionic talents. Used as weapons, Aluc'rieth are controlled by sterilizing them, and our more technology-advanced times, placing an inhibitor collar around their neck to insure compliance. As these are mutations, Aluc'rieths are viewed as being a lesser race while under the new government. Though, there is considerable evidence that Aluc'rieths are the next phase of evolution for the Ruskon, which is why the current governmental regime is so adamant in keeping control over these beings. An interesting note: When the Stewardship ordered the killing of Aluc'rieths, the Ruskon rebelled in complete and utter panic as to what this would mean for the safety of their lives. It is because of the Aluc'rieth's function in Laurnian myth, that the Ruskon were so very furious and terrified of the idea of killing the Aluc'rieths. As it is common practice to sterilize Aluc'rieths, the mutation is very, very rare. According to record, there is typically only one Aluc'rieth at any given time. Additional Note: There is one addendum to the Aluc'rieth. It is said in some schools of thought that the Harbinger of Laurnian mythos is one and the same as an Aluc'rieth. As the two are depicted as two sides of the same coin in mythos, it would make sense that the two are of the same sub-race. This is not widely accepted, as most would prefer to keep their didactic dualities seperate.
