Welcome aboard cadet. You've chosen the ancient occupation
of a medical caregiver. Once you graduate you will be directly
responsible for the health and welfare of the crew of the Starship
Avalon .
Most Medical Cadets want to know how to advance through
the ranks in the medical division. Once you graduate, cadets, you'll
take on the job as a nurse/medical assistant. Once you've completed
your OCE and have earned the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class you'll
be granted your title as a Doctor. As you work through the ranks
you'll be offered further training such as specializations and
eventually advanced surgeries. Once you achieve Chief Petty Officer
you will be eligible to take on the position of Assistant Chief
Medical Officer or Chief Medical Officer.
The majority of your training will be studying.
Once you reach third year year you'll begin your training as a
Medical Intern, assisting in physicals and once you
reach fourth year you'll begin your training as a Medical Intern
assisting in physicals and various other tasks.

As a Medical Cadet you fall under the Medical division and, as such, will be wearing a Medical cadet uniform for the duration of your cadet training. Please set the following configuration for your character:
Medical Cadet Uniform |
|
Species: Feline or Canine
Badge - Sun Yellow
Bracers - Royal Blue
Boots - Black
Cape - *
Trousers - Grey
Vest - Black |
 |
* Local Species Cross training Armbands
Departmental Colors

Engineering/Operations = Yellow
Medical/Science = Blue
Takimora Marine Core = Green
No Cross Training/Intelligence = Black

The following flow chart shows who you're
supposed to talk to and in what order. Ideally you want to speak
to the person directly above you. You might find yourself not having
anyone but the XO or CO to speak to if no one in your division
is on. At this point TRY to figure it out yourself. If you absolutely
can't and it's urgent, send a message to the 3IC. Then at least
show you TRIED to go through the chain of command.

Being a cadet you would follow the above chart. You
would speak to an Intern or Nurse and so on, if you had any questions.
If you ask a Medical Assistant and they don't know
that their job is to ask a Doctor, and so on, the information would
then be filtered down the chain so everyone who didn't know would
now know.
Above this chain is the divisional chain of command. You, being a cadet, should avoid even straying into this chain as "it's way above your pay grade".
